SAE Joins Onvif

SAE Electronic Co.,Ltd, a leading CCTV products manufacture and designer in China has joined Onvif （Open Network Video Interface Forum）in a new affiliation and membership on April 2010 to further the innovation of IP surveillance technology and video compression standards.
Onvif, founded by Axis Communications, Bosch Security Systems, and Sony Corporation in 2008, is established as an opening, independent, non-profit organization to act on behalf of the members to facilitate the development of a global open standard for the interface of network video products. Standards and goals are discussed and ideas are exchanged in an open forum to help create a common protocol for the exchange of information including automatic device discovery, video streaming and intelligence metadata between network video devices. The Onvif specification will ensure interoperability between IP-based physical security products regardless of manufacturer.
